The Administrative Division deals with visitors and third parties, support managers and organize events. They help to implement and coordinate office procedures and day-to-day tasks that keep our workplaces functioning efficiently. Linking our various divisions, they make sure that information flows smoothly between our employees and external suppliers.

Accounting & Finance

The Accounting & Finance Division provides information crucial to our financial stability and economic success. They assess, process and communicate our financial data, locally and globally. They also evaluate our economic activities, reporting the results to a variety of external stakeholders as well as our own management.

 
Key tasks include:
  • Compliance with legal requirements
  • Issuing complete documentation on the development of assets and liabilities
  • Producing annual profit and loss statements

Communication, PR & Social Media

The Communications, PR & Social Media Division is the face and voice of our company. They represent the company in our dealings with our employees and the outside world, overseeing internal and external communication. Externally, they establish and maintain relationships with our clients, the public and media across all communication channels, and provide information on products and topical issues.

The Controlling & Finance Division regulates the whole company’s operations and acts as a strategic adviser to managers.

Sourcing & Purchasing

The Sourcing & Purchasing Division makes sure that we get the best possible purchasing conditions. They also work to guarantee the timely availability of raw, auxiliary and operational materials for our R&D and Production business units, as well as products and work equipment for our full range of specialist and functional areas.

Corporate Public Affairs

The Corporate Public Affairs Division drives an open and trust-based conversation with key external stakeholders including policy-makers, trade associations and non-governmental organizations. They identify and assess global political trends, promote our position on important political debates, maximize opportunities for engagement and help to develop of appropriate strategies.

Human Resources

Boehringer Ingelheim’s HR department operates locally and internationally and provides added value for the company’s talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development as well as diversity/inclusion strategies. It also provides strategic and operational support via the HR Business Partner and HR Services & Expertise departments. Depending on the area, we look for people with human resources or personnel experience, both theoretical and practical, but also commercial and labour lawyers, assistants as well as occupational physicians and nurses.

Information Technology

The Information Technology Division is a global organization that serves the whole company. They play a critical role in enabling teams that drive product and process innovation, business analytics and cross-functional collaboration. They keep operations and processes running smoothly, helping to ensure that information, products and new innovations get delivered to the patients and customers who need them.

Working in partnership with our other divisions, their fully qualified lawyers are specialists in their field and are supported by well-trained paralegals, assistants and clerks.
