Project
PROTACs are bifunctional small molecules with binding specificities to a known E3 ligase (substrate binding protein) like VHL or Cereblon and a protein of interest (POI).
A PROTAC favours POI binding to a E3 ligase, thereby inducing ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of the protein.
Goal of the project:
-
- Discover new methodologies to generate ternary structural information for weak PROTACS
- Identification and enablement of novel E3 Ligase PROTAC systems beyond VHL or Cereblon
- Develop first in class bacterial PROTAC strategies
