Project
Establishment of an in-vivo model of cognitive impairment, that will aid in identifying novel treatment options and characterizing novel cognitive enhancing drug candidates. To this aim, optogenetics will be used to inhibit specific interneurons in the prefrontal cortex of mice, which then will be analyzed by in-vivo electrophysiology and behavioral tasks to assess memory, attention and cognitive flexibility in relation to prefrontal neuronal network oscillations.
