"I have been with the company for 17 years now."
Thomas Krause, Project Manager Logistics, Production
My name is Thomas Krause and my job title is Project Manager Logistics. My team guarantees a targeted supply of Boehringer Ingelheim’s product lines: delivering the right material in the right quality, amount and time to the right place. The days of loading up vans and lorries with cardboard boxes full of products have long gone. Today, we rely on a fully automatic high-bay warehouse as well as intelligent warehouse management to handle materials in a well-structured way. And if you think of the billions of individual parts we now produce, not to mention auxiliary and operating materials, then there is still plenty of scope for creative solutions in the coming years.
My way to Boehringer Ingelheim
I have been with the company for 17 years now. I started on a trainee programme and my area of activity has changed a great deal since then. My background is in mechanical engineering, so I wasn’t necessarily predestined for a career in logistics, but it’s good to understand products and production from top to bottom.
That’s why I work for Boehringer Ingelheim
There are plenty of further training opportunities at Boehringer Ingelheim in addition to half-yearly personal development talks. Both the company and colleagues have developed very sound judgement about what is really necessary: being available, as a team, as an internal service provider and supporting the core processes.
