My name is René Gessenich. I’m 25 years old, and work at Boehringer Ingelheim’s Human Resources department on its Trainee Program. I am based in Ingelheim, Germany. Due to the structure of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Trainee Program, my tasks vary greatly based on different assignments, which usually last from three to six months. I am currently working on optimizing core business processes in our consumer health care business. In my role as Project Manager, I offer methodological support to the project leader and team.
How I came to Boehringer Ingelheim
I joined Boehringer Ingelheim through a dual degree program, which enabled me to study at a university of applied sciences and gain first-hand work experience in various departments, including Operations, Finance and Controlling, Communications and others. After I completed my degree, I was offered employment in Human Resources.
