They make sure our products reach as many patients as possible – people and animals alike. Internally, they ensure we have the right employees and that they develop and grow in our company. This means analyzing markets and developing product awareness strategies that keep us competitive, while following legal and business regulations. They provide intelligent solutions and systems, monitor processes, investments and budgets, offer guidance to our businesses and for us to the media, clients and stakeholders.
Regulatory / Compliance
The Regulatory & Compliance Division is home to experts from several fields, including a variety of medical professionals, mathematicians, statistical programmers and medical documentation specialists, to name but a few. They make sure that everything we do at BI is in line with industry regulations and codes of practice.
Sales
Boehringer Ingelheim’s sales force is the company’s direct link with clients. Members of this highly qualified team implement the strategies and concepts developed by the marketing department in their discussions and interactions with healthcare providers. The core of Boehringer Ingelheim’s sales communications is scientific information about our innovative products, disease management and health outcomes. We offer a range of customised event concepts that respond to client needs in a targeted fashion, while our close partnership with external medical science colleagues allows us to provide doctors with a comprehensive range of support. Most employees have a degree in a natural science discipline, or a background in economic science, supplemented with training as a pharmaceutical representative. While this is certainly a good foundation for working in the Boehringer Ingelheim sales team, it is not a prerequisite, as all field staff receive in-depth product training, which means they are able to speak to healthcare providers in their language and be accepted as credible and reliable business partners over the long-term.
