Learning Without Borders
Boehringer Ingelheim now grants all employees access to LinkedIn Learning. The personalized learning portal offers more than 12,000 video courses from leading business experts, Harvard professors and key influencers. This pilot project will help our employees to discover and develop new skills through a customized learning experience.
LinkedIn Learning enables our employees to take care of their own personal and professional development, offering a high degree of flexibility and considering today's fast pace of change. In seven different languages and customized courses, LinkedIn Learning covers a wide range of business, creative and technical topics, from behavioral soft skills to design thinking to programming.
Mobile accessible and customized
Our employees are now free to access the portal from different devices and take courses offline by downloading content via the LinkedIn Learning app. Having logged in to the platform with their company account, employees can specify the skills they wish to learn. The system will then propose individual learning recommendations and content that is relevant for them. Moreover, our company will provide additional recommendations for employees based on current and future business needs.
Strong approval during pilot phase
Within a six-month pilot, Boehringer Ingelheim is keen to find out and understand the potential use for the future. So far, approval has been strong indeed. "We would like to give our employees the opportunity to drive their own learning and find answers at the point of need. They now have access to new and modern ways of digital learning," says Maria Castresana, Global Head of Talent, Leadership & Organisational Effectiveness.
